Another arrival this month in 1963 was teh curious little NSU Sport Prinz. Now I am pretty sure that no-one will have seen one of these on the British roads but it did have a certain charm and I bought one. The illustration shows the one I actually had too, and its box.
I have since read that Corgi had the idea of producing a range of models without any special features that were expensive to include. So these might just have windows, an interior and suspension but that's all, and the range would have a single price of 3/9d (compared to 8/6d for the Ghia L6.4) The Renault Floride and Simca 1000 may have been part of this group but it never went any further.
In this month a driver was added to the Mercedes-Benz 300SL #303S
This illustration is of a later and very rare edition with spoked wheels which came out the following year but you can see that Roger Moore makes his first appearance here, looking rather too tall for this model!
It will have been the white and pale blue models which will have been the most commonly encountered at this time but I don't have any white ones with drivers!
