I suppose that with a name like Studebaker Golden Hawk you would need to have a dramatic colour to do justice to it! Corgi produced their revised 211S model in a very bright silver and a slightly more modest gold. The silver is distinctly unrealistic, the gold I could imagine being on the road.
Studebaker DID have a real gold Golden Hawk in its lineup around 1956-57-58. I believe the original version had a large capacity Packard V8 with big horsepower but the engine was very heavy. The later versions had a Studebaker 289 V8 with supercharger & had almost the same power as the Packard version but handled much better due to the lighter engine.
